Starsailor will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the much-loved Silence is Easy album with a special run of shows across the UK and Europe later this year.
Released in September 2003, the album reached number two in the UK charts, and drew praise from critics. "Attractive listening, and it's hard not to be moved by its tenderness," was how The Guardian's Caroline Sullivan described it. AllMusic's Matt Collar said: "The 11 tracks here are heartfelt, melodic rockers with some string backgrounds that fit well into the overall aesthetic of cinematic pop romanticism."
While the album's title track and "Four to the Floor", the third and final single released from it, have become mainstays of the band's setlists since 2003, fans across the UK and Europe will get to hear deeper cuts - songs such as "Telling Them" and "Restless Heart" - in their full glory during this tour.
The 13-date run of shows will begin with four shows in Europe, including a headline show in Paris (La Maroquinerie, Sunday 19 November) for the first time since 2017. London, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow will all feature on the UK Tour, which begins in Norwich on Friday 24 November and culminates in Southampton 10 days later.
All EU show tickets will go on general sale at 10am CEST on Friday 31 March.
Exclusive fan pre-sales for six of the UK shows (Glasgow, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Manchester and London) will begin at 10am on Wednesday 29 March via
Gigs and Tours.
All UK show tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday 31 March.
